Slam Allen Brings It to Beacon

Slam Beacon

There’s no better interlude on Memorial Weekend than taking in a show and for 200 plus Blues Fans that meant spending an evening dining on great locally sourced Hudson Valley foods & brews while taking in the sights and sounds of the Slam Allen Band at the new Towne Crier Cafe in uber hip Beacon, NY, just a short Hudson Line Metro ride from midtown Manhattan.

Bringing his A-Game to the night with a pile of originals intertwined with tributes to the greats from Muddy, Hendrix, BB & Albert King to his eight year run as the Band Leader for the Legendary James Cotton, Slam Allen proved himself to be the “Heir Apparent” to the crown for the next generation of Great Bluesmen tasked with carrying on a tradition of showmanship, skill and tradition. If you missed this show you can catch Slam for yet another this Saturday, May 31st at 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar in Peekskill and another short jaunt up the Hudson Line! Turnout Manhattan, a little Blues will do ya good.
